On October 21st, 2009, the president of Croatia, Stjepan Mesić, visited the faculty of computer science

at the Technion, along with ministers of his government and the mayor of Haifa, Yona Yahav.  He was invited to the Geometric Image processing laboratory, where he was hosted by the dean and the laboratory staff. Yaron Honen, the lab engineer described some of the lab's projects, including the lab's unique 3-dimensional camera, that was used to show a 3D picture of the president.
